OUR CITY - NOVOROSSIYSK
Novorossiysk is the biggest commercial Sea port at the South of Russia and favorite place of the rest of many tourists, which every year go to this land with mild climate to lie in the sun, have a good rest and recreate.
Due to the closeness of the Black Sea and to the nature of the ground, Novorossiysk climate is temperate like a Mediterranean, with hot summer and frequent thaws in winter.
The holiday season lasts from May till October. The average temperature of air in summer is +24 °C, average temperature of water is +20 °C
There are a lot of beautiful places in the neighborhood of Novorossiysk: the famous resort place - Shirokaya Balka, the Abrau-Durso village, where the extraordinary beauty Abrau Lake is situated.
Abrau Lake is the main of the Novorossiysk sights. It is the biggest Lake in Northern Caucasia. It's area is 160 hectare. The unique internal-drainage Lake is filled by subterranean springs and rain-water, but it never overfills, since the lake evaporates the same quantity of moisture as it receives. But at the same time this Lake has pure water.
There is little park on the lakeside. Scotch pines and deodars grow there. The oldest Russian winery "Abrau-Durso" is situated behind the park. The winery has a museum with tasting room, where the tourists can taste the best sorts of wine and champagne.
The rest in Novorossiysk Novorossiysk is rest in the town with interesting history and culture. The heroic city Novorossiysk is one of the most popular places, concerned with operations in West Caucasia during the Great Patriotic war. There are a lot of archaeological and historic monuments in our town.
